Over the weekend of 21st and 22nd October most members of the club committee, together with their partners, gathered at the Manor House Hotel near Enniskillen. On the Saturday morning there was a committee meeting. Members and their partners then were taken by coach to join the ‘Lady of the Lake’ on Lough Erne. During a two hour voyage (which due to the windy conditions and the unsteady nature of the verssel did not go into the wider area of the lough) we were given a very knowledgeable talk by Mr Fred Dueran and were served a lunch of soup and small eats. Returning to the hotel the next event was a semi-formal dinner for which the hotel served a really excellent meal.
The weekend gave us all the chance to meet our fellow committee members and was a well worth while event – paid for incidentally in full by those who attended. Our thanks to Derek White for organising it all.
The pictures of our voyage on the ‘Lady of the Lake’ below were taken by David Beattie and Aiofe, with a couple more from your web editor.
